How do I get a referral? Do you have a doctor onsite?

In order to recieve a referral for your Medical Marijuana Registry card, you must first see a doctor with one of the following conditions: Severe pain, glaucoma, cancer, seizures, severe nausea, HIV/AIDS, Cachexia, Persistent Muscle Spasms.
No, we do not have a doctor on site, it is currently illegal for doctors to practice out of a dispensary. However, we have several doctors we can refer you to. Dr. Shackleford, for example, is a well educated Harvard graduate who can help walk you through through the process, and suggest proper treatment for your specific ailment. After I see the doctor, can I purchase right away?

No. Right now the Department of Public Health and Environment has a 35 day waiting period to allow themselves time to reject applications. In order to purchase using your temporary paperwork, you must have a copy of your certified mail reciept that dates at least 35 days prior to when you come in to purchase. If I sign my caregivership over to a dispensary or caregiver, can I still grow?

Yes! You can keep your 6 plants (or more, depending on how many your doctor has suggested) to grow personally, even if you have a center or individual signed as your caregiver. When filling out the "change of caregiver" form, or the original form for your MMR card, be sure to check the box that says "Self and Medical Marijuana Center" or "Self and Caregiver". This will ensure that you keep your growing rights.

My caregiver told me I couldn't change for a year without being fined by the state. Is that true?

Absolutely not. A lot of dispensaries and caregivers have a "suggested" membership period, to help them better organize their inventory. For example, at Evergreen Apothecary we suggest that you stay with us for 12 months. This way you get to reap the full benefits of our membership, and we can be sure that our plant count is accurate. However, if we are simply not working out for you due to distance from your home or some other personal matter, it is your choice to change your caregivership at any time. We do suggest, however, that you notify your current caregiver after you change, so that they can ensure that they have an accurate plant count.

Speaking of caregivership, does Evergreen Apothecary have special member prices?

No. We have the same low price for everyone. That's $35 an 1/8th for our top shelf medicine. We do have a discount on edibles for members, though. Our members get 10% off of all edibles.
